Enhance your wellness. No two people are the same and neither are their wellness goals. Treat yourself to a massage whether you are feeling good and want to pamper yourself or experiencing aches and pains. Start an easy healthy habit which will maintain and improve your mental and physical wellness. A regular massage can help you enhance your current well being if you are already feeling good or help you to overcome whatever might be holding you back. We all know the health benefits of massage but rarely take the time for ourselves. Why not change that today? All you have to do is sit back and relax! Perhaps you already have a favorite type of massage or are looking to try something new. I specialize in therapeutic massage, relaxation, deep tissue, pressure points, trigger points, tapping, compression, rocking and other body manipulation techniques. Combining different styles of massage can often help you experience new levels of relief, relaxation and maximize results.  I can identify which modality or combination would be best suited for your needs then suggest a personalized massage just for you.

Massage Styles:

“Relaxing massage” also known as Swedish massage, is designed for both relaxation and therapeutic benefits such as relief of muscle tension and increased circulation to the areas worked. I use a combination of friction, kneading, long and flowing strokes to address the more superficial layers of muscle tissue and include active and passive movements of the muscle for this type of massage. Swedish massage is just one of the many massage modalities we can incorporate while customizing your session.

“Deep tissue or therapeutic massage” is similar to Swedish massage. The deep pressure used in this type of massage addresses the lower layers of muscle with slow deliberate strokes that are beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The slower speed and more concentrated pressure encourages the muscles, fascia and tendons to relax and re-align. This massage modality is often recommended to release chronic patterns of tension, elevate tension headaches, reduce pain, improve sleep, relieve muscle spasms, improve blood circulation, decrease stress, rehabilitate muscles and increase range of motion.

“Sports massage” has similarities to deep-tissue massage but is specifically aimed at preventing and/or healing from sports injuries. Preventative sports massage uses dynamic stretching to move muscles through their full range of motion enhancing flexibility and tone to prevent injury.  A healing sports massage is a soft tissue massage aimed at enhancing blood circulation to the injured muscle and realignment of muscle fibers. This flushes out toxins that can cause muscle and joint pain.
